n8n Fair Use Policy

This Fair Use Policy ("Policy") outlines the acceptable and responsible use of the n8n automation tool, which is made available through the ConverseIQ platform ("Platform").

By using n8n along with the ConverseIQ platform, users agree to comply with this Policy to ensure the fair, ethical, and secure use of the service.

1. Purpose of Use

n8n is provided to users on the ConverseIQ platform to enable automation of tasks, workflows and AI-powered integrations. It’s intended as a self-service tool, and there are numerous tutorials and videos available online to help you learn and build your own automations.

Users are encouraged to explore and make use of n8n to boost productivity and streamline processes, while following responsible usage practices and staying within the scope of the fair use policy.

2. Acceptable Usage

Users may use n8n for the following purposes:

  • Task Automation: Automating repetitive tasks such as data entry, notifications, and data synchronization between apps.

  • Workflow Integration: Integrating and automating various services to improve business processes (e.g., CRM, email marketing, analytics).

  • AI-Powered Solutions: Leveraging AI workflows to automate customer support, data analysis, and decision-making processes.

  • Testing and Development: Experimenting with workflows and automations for internal business use or for prototyping new processes.

3. Prohibited Use

The following actions are prohibited when using n8n on the ConverseIQ platform:

  • Spamming or Abuse: Using n8n to send unsolicited messages, emails, or any form of spam, or engaging in any activity that could harm the reputation or performance of the platform.

  • Excessive Resource Consumption: Running workflows that consume excessive system resources, cause service disruption, or impact performance for other users is prohibited. This includes running multiple large or complex workflows that are resource-intensive or operate on an ongoing loop without efficiency controls. 

  • Illegal Activities: Using n8n to conduct activities that violate local, regional, or international laws, including but not limited to fraud, data theft, or any form of unauthorized access to systems.

  • Harmful Content: Engaging in activities that could distribute malware, viruses, or any malicious content or code through automated workflows.

  • Data Privacy Violations: Automating workflows that involve the unauthorized sharing, selling, or misuse of personally identifiable information (PII) or any sensitive data without proper consent or protection.

  • Use beyond intended scope
    n8n access is intended for use by the ConverseIQ account holder. Agencies may use n8n to automate their own internal business processes, but it must not be used to provide automation services or direct access to n8n for their own clients.

4. Subscription Requirement for Free Use

Access to n8n through the ConverseIQ platform is provided free of charge only to users with an active paid subscription. Access may be restricted or disabled for users without a valid paid plan.

n8n access is intended solely for use by the ConverseIQ account holder. Agencies are welcome to use n8n to automate their own internal business processes, but it must not be used to provide automation services to, or grant access for, their own clients.

This policy ensures responsible use of platform resources and helps maintain fair, sustainable access for all users.

5. User Responsibility

  • Data Protection: Users are responsible for ensuring that any data processed through n8n workflows complies with applicable privacy laws, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or other relevant data protection regulations.

  • Workflow Security: Users should implement appropriate security measures within their workflows, including access control, authentication, and data encryption where necessary.

  • Monitoring Usage: Users must regularly monitor their workflows for any misuse or issues that could affect the performance or security of the Platform.

6. Limitations of Service

While ConverseIQ aims to provide a robust, scalable platform for n8n automation, certain limits may apply to prevent abuse, such as:

  • Resource Limits: ConverseIQ may enforce resource limits to prevent excessive load on the system, including processing time, task execution frequency, and data storage.

  • Fair Usage Thresholds: In cases of unusually high usage that disrupts the platform for other users, ConverseIQ reserves the right to temporarily suspend or throttle access to n8n workflows until the issue is resolved.

7. Consequences of Violations

Any violation of this Fair Use Policy may result in one or more of the following actions:

  • Warning: ConverseIQ may issue a warning regarding the violation, requesting corrective actions.

  • Temporary Suspension: Temporary suspension of access to n8n or specific workflows until compliance is achieved.

  • Permanent Suspension: In cases of severe or repeated violations, ConverseIQ may permanently suspend or terminate a user’s access to n8n on the Platform.

8. Changes to This Policy

ConverseIQ reserves the right to modify or update this Fair Use Policy at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of n8n after any changes will constitute acceptance of the revised Policy.
